The Home

Our place out here ain't fancy. It's not The Ritz Carleton, and it's certainly not a luxury property. It's peaceful and detached from the crazy go'in on out there in the world. We like to say what happens up on the road stays up there on the road. It's our respite, our safe haven. We hope we've made it accepting, warm & inviting to everyone who shares with and cares for others. We love to see folks interact with each other and make memories. Guest access

During your stay you'll have access to the entire home. Outside you'll have access to the immediate area around the house. Outdoor kitchen, Back Porch, Firepit, Swing, Entertaining Area & Shoreline for bank fishing. Feel free to walk across the dam to the other side of the backyard. It really is beautiful over there and it's a great private place to spread a blanket and have a picnic. (Bring your own or we'll pack a basket for you, additional charge applies, see marketplace tab in our digital guidebook). Take a walk through the woods on the South side of the house, just don't cross any fences, and always watch out for critters. Most are harmless, but some can sting or bite if approached or fooled with. Oh, and we ask you not to go into the woods on the North side (patio & parking side). There's no fence, but it doesn't belong to us, and Texas folk respect other people's property by staying off it unless invited.

East Texas is full of history and things to do. As we set up our place, I’ve been truly amazed at the things to see and do all within 15 minutes to an hour or so of “The Americana”.
